Motion Graphics in VFX
An attempt to do Motion Graphics in Houdini. This is a project done during my Specialist Diploma in Visual Effect course at Nanyang Polytechnic.
We were given less than 4 weeks to come up with a project that its all Houdini Based.
It was really fun attempting this project and there were so many challenges I faced.
Here is the link to my project website :
Procedural Asset Building
Creating complex digital asset is one of the many things I learnt from the part time vfx course. I really enjoyed the course and the courses are taught from people who are working LucasFlim and Ubisoft. I am glad that I am learning from the best.
Below is an asset I building after attending the course.

Fire Sparkles (houdini)
The whirlpool is made from flip fluid in Houdini.
Particle count : 5 million
To see how it is done, see my WIP page :)
Whirlpool
Particle Explosion
The pyro is generated from particles in Houdini.
POPs to emit particles and apply noise for more interesting simulation
Rendered with mantra
Division size : 0.08
Advect Particles with Fluids (houdini)
Driving particles by emitting fluids and using its velocity values to move the particles.
Done In Houdini
Advect Particles with Fluids (maya)
The above is the same effect but done in Maya.
